New Model, Matrix, Compound

Minimum requirement: Qubicle Basic Edition (+ Utility DLC for New Compound)

You can choose if the starting point of the model will be a Model, Matrix or Compound.

File > New Model offers the most flexibility when starting a project. If Preferences > Start New Model With Empty Matrix is activated, a matrix will automatically be created for you to start editing. Otherwise, you can add a new matrix with Create > Empty Matrix.

File > New Matrix
creates a Matrix as the root node. The entire model must exist inside this Matrix - it is impossible to go to the model view.

File > New Compound starts the model as a Compound. This can then be filled with Matrices with Create > Empty Matrix. Starting with a Compound can be useful if your model needs to be a predetermined size, or if you need to export the Compound as the root node.
